Only when I lose my keys. The key finder made random noises when I'd pick up my keys in the morning. I didn't initiate the app. Sometimes it would happen at work.

The one time I did lose my keys it didn't work. I turned the app on, pressed the finder button but didn't hear any noise going through my house. I ended up finding my keys on my own, pressed the "Find" button a few more times but still the keys remained silent. Only after I found my keys, opened the Key Finder, pulled and reset the battery did it start to make the key finding noise.

I have had the Key Finder for a little over a month now. I am concerned that the audible alarm of the Key Finder is so weak that it will be practically useless in finding my keys if they are actually lost. I tested the Key Finder by putting it between the cushions of our sofa and the alarm was so weak that it could only be heard when i was within a foot or two of the device.
