    En cuanto al tema de guia por voz, podria ser mejorado, ya que la voz es muy metalica y robotizada. Took an extra hour to get car, then needed to take uber to airport after dropping off car. Sketchy office, though people were OK. I think they were just worn down from customers being mad at them. Worse car rental I have ever experienced Ventajas: The car was ok Desventajas: Worst mistake ever renting with this company.

    The location was challenging to get to, the shuttle dropped me off two blocks from building, which was confusing because I was dropped off by an Economy building, but was informed the address was two blocks away, it was dark and I was by myself, not very safe or comforting. When I finally found building it took me over and hour to get my car and was not informed of the high deposit that was required, or the extra cost.

    I have rented many rental cars and this was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered. DO NOT rent from these people! I would not recommend this rental location to my worst enemy!!! Clean and inspeccions Ventajas: It was really bad. Other then than was ok. Worst rental car experience ever!!! After waiting in the lobby and not being acknowledged for about 20 minutes, I was told I would not be able to pick up my rental vehicle because I did not have proper identification.

    Given that it was about 10pm in the evening, I returned the next day with the proper identification though I was informed that my reservation was no longer valid, despite the fact that I was charged in full for the vehicle. The representative offered to provide with with another car for an additional fee, but informed me that my mileage would be limited to the amount allotted for one day though I was charged for two days.

    Economy Rental has a number of stipulations that are not made clear during the reservation phase. I'd strongly advise that patrons avoid this company at all cost. Dismal customer service, dirty little office. I got a great car for not a lot of money Desventajas: Their insurance policies are strange and excessive. Slow and inconvenient Ventajas: Worst car rental ever Ventajas: They make you take a city bus and then you are dropped off on the street and told to walk to into a lot where semi-truck trailers are parked.

    An unmarked van is somewhere on the lot and you are supposed to find it. They take you to their place and they ask you for every piece of identity you have. It took 30 minutes to get the car and then 30 minutes while they clean an incoming vehicle, sort of clean as I took it to a car wash next day.

    You don't get the car you pay for. Not good customer service. The car I received was a category below what I paid for. You get what you pay for. The worst rental car experience of my life, by far Ventajas: Shuttle bus driver Desventajas: This place has no business being in business.

    I though I was booking a regular, major rental car company. Instead they have the feel and effficiency of renting from back lot. No shuttle vans from airport. Has to take a shuttle from a rental car company down the road and wait. Took a hour in line — with only two parties in front of me. Retrieving my car took 15 minutes and ended up getting a different one because the guy said mine was still being washed and I was in a big hurry.

    In total, picking up a car took over an hour and a half — and I arrived mid-afternoon on a week day not busy. I honestly believe this place should not be allowed to operate as an LAX rental agency. Or at minimum they should be dropped from every major web site. I somehow got a hold of someone when I was dropped off at a sketchy lot in the middle of no where. The customer service was terrible. I was very disappointed. Will not be using kayak as a source for finding a rental car.

    It was very confusing to pick up the car. Had to take a shuttle to a lot of vans where other confused passengers had to cram into one van. I had to make a job interview by No one was helpful very confusing. Please rent anywhere else this company should be illegal. Very efficient once we got to the counter Desventajas: Supplying car not as specified although in hindsight havng seen the one specified we were grateful that we got a different model.

    Advantage LAX from a management point of view was disastrous. Not only did they not have an SUV per our booking, it took over TWO HOURS to get from the kerbside outside the airport waiting for their shuttle bus, to completing the paperwork and being given the car. Would never use again. Small Company but not bad Ventajas: We were happy with the fast service and the price.

    The salesperson was friendly, helpful and informative. We did not like their hours of operation and directions to get to their location. We arrived on an early flight hrs only to find that they don't open 'til hrs on weekdays and hrs on weekends. Also, you had to catch a Western hotel shuttle versus a car rental shuttle. We also called the phone number for the shuttle but their voicemail stated they were closed and did not give any more info on how to catch the shuttle or time of operation.

    This made it more frustrating than what it should be after landing in a big city. Great once we got the car. Horrible process getting it. The car was great and drop-off was super easy. Customer service and pick up on the front end was pretty rough. I am someone who gives quite a bit of grace in these areas, but I called months before our arrangement to change the reservation to the next day.

    The man on the phone told me he had taken care of it and left a note in the system, however, when we got there, he obviously had not.

    I finally just had to ask if I was getting a car or a refund, and they finally worked something out. Our travel day had already been rough because of some delays, and they were not very accommodating to that either. Not sure if it was worth the cheaper price all in all. It was so so rental. The price is lower than other. The check out and check in agent were great and friendly.

    The service counter was rude and not friendly. Keep trying to sell the rental insurance. The car was dirty. Most likely this would be the first and last rental from this company. Nice car, and very good rate.

    • Very convenient for my needs. I was lucky with the shuttle both times, but I can see that it can be a little stressful since it only runs every 30 minutes. This was no problem for me this time, but one clearly needs to carefully read the fine print when renting from this company. They were closed at the time I had indicated I wanted to pick up the vehicle. Then, the next morning early I left them a message that we would be by to pick up the vehicle and I received no return call.

      We got there and they did not have the vehicle we requested or the equivalent would hold the same number of passengers for the same price. I attempted to call the corporate number to complain about it and had to leave a message because no one answered but did not receive a call back in a reasonable time frame even though I indicated the issue was urgent and gave them my cell number to call me.

      Repeated a couple of more times with no call back. In the end I told the guy at the rental counter that I wanted to cancel the reservation and he said he could not do that and that I needed to call the corporate number to do that. Called and left message and apparently they did finally call me back approximately 6 hours later but they did it from a blocked number so I did not pick it up.

      Called them back and got voicemail as I had all the previous times with my cell number, my confirmation number and a message about the issue and that I wanted the reservation cancelled. Have not received any call back. All I want from them is my money refunded. Best LAX car experience ever, by far in 20 years! Efficiency, very close to airport, no waiting. Line grew quickly as there were only 1 - 2 agents at a time - Cars could've been cleaner - Exterior and interior.

      Pickup was very disorganized with a long wait and car not ready Ventajas: The car was stated ready to be picked up at 12PM, I picked up at 1: Another indicator they did not properly reserved my car. I didn't want to end up waiting inside the lobby forever, so I stayed outside to make sure they knew I was waiting. They had my flight information, but left me stranded.

      I had given my flight information along with my rental, but when I arrived at the rental car desk at the Westin, they had closed up for the night leaving me stranded in the middle of Los Angeles and desperately trying to find a car to get to where I was staying an hour away. I would recommend management do one of three things: It is much easier to get to another rental company from the airport than when you're already off the airport campus.

      Decently priced rental in LAX Ventajas: The value of this rental was the best part! We had no issues with the car, the service was good, and it was the best price we found in LA. The worst part was the shuttle. It was not clear when I booked the car that I would need to take a shuttle to the Westin. The Westin shuttle was not running very often and we waited quite a while and considered a cab.

      But the return worked out and the shuttle was just arriving as we were. Good value, friendly staff, economical car Desventajas: Long wait for shuttle, slow checkout at rental. They try to up sell on everything and delay the process. There was nothing good about it. The van was dirty inside. Someone had threw up in the van and we cleaned it up. The pick from the Airport to the Agency to get the van was confusing and a waste of time. When we finally got the agency, the agent told us they over booked.

      We ended up spending almost 6 hours at the agency waiting for the van. There were people a head of us that waited more than 8 hours to get their van. This is the worse car rental agency I had encountered. Great Deal for Family Vacation Ventajas: Accurate information on website about shuttle pick up Desventajas: We had a great experience with AVR! Rates for our rental was the lowest. The minivan we rented was clean. Shuttle between the airport and their location was very convenient. Call their office when you arrive to LAX to arrange for pick-up. Also, call on the day when you're expected to drop-off the rental to make sure a shuttle is available.

      Do these things and you should have no issues. LAX is a mad house! Roller coaster of emotion Ventajas: Very friendly staff willing to go out of their way to fix a problem; took the cost of my cab ride off the bill. Takes a long time to receive the car; car inspection is onerous; pickup at airport and return to airport from the site either doesn't happen or you have to wait an hour; everything is done by paper copy and so it takes forever to check out. Took over an hour to get picked up from the airport shuttle another hour to get car.

      Van was dirty and damaged. We thought we were getting a mini van but ended up with a econo worker van. I did not see one happy customer in that place. Good experience for a great price Ventajas: Price Price Price The manager took care of a misunderstanding with the kind of vehicle that was requested online and the one that was going to be given to us in the office. They were not pushy with Ins or gas.

      Overall I had a good experience!!! Yes, it is not Enterprise or Avis but it does not cost like them either. The first representative did most of the stuff correctly except for the change in vehicle type. I reserved a 15Pax and was going to be given a 7 pax. I thought to myself "oh man" just like so many reviews said, now is going to happen to me. Luckily the manager took care of it with no issues and off we went.

      Tried to rent 8 person vehicle, they gav Ventajas: Friendly, quick staff who worked very hard and helped resolve any issues. Online rental via kayak booked them and they gave us a 15 passenger van, which is ridiculous since I only needed an 8 seater. Was able to upgrade for extra money to a Ford Expedition to resolve the problem. Really fortunate they had 1 left on the lot for us.

      The representatives were very nice. I received a prompt call from a very nice person after my complaint about my experience.

      The car was old and smelled. The carpeting was coming away from the floor. Price and the convenience of renting. No hassle and queues Desventajas: Car was not well maintained. Smell of cigarette smoke. So friendly and helpful Ventajas: The staff is amazing.

      AMPM was just bad news Desventajas: They mixed up my pick up time. I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 12 noon, they had me picking up at 2pm. She was adamant about this 2pm pick up time until I showed her my reservation on my phone. After this got worked out, she told me that they not only didn't have the vehicle I requested, they only had one vehicle on site- a gigantic minivan, which isn't ideal for city driving. When returning the vehicle they drop you off about a mile away from the shuttle because, in our driver's words "We don't pay to enter the parking lot" A mile walk carrying luggage at the end of the trip isn't how you want to end a trip.

      Totally unhappy with my service. Got a very dirty car. My pickup appointment was delayed by half hour due to short staffing. When returning the vehicle, i was treated poorly by staff. They weren't attentive in any way. Received a discount but i had to prove the vehicle was dirty Took me over 40 minutes to get a car.

      First car I got had broken trunk lock. Instead of replacing this car, stuff starts to guide me how should I close this trunk. Overall, if you want cheap car, this is the place to go. If you want normal service, I wouldn't recommend this place.
